Traffik with Shurwayne Winchester in pictures
The final day of the Soca in the Square, Friday 9th February, 2007, ended with a bang with Shurwayne Winchester and the band, Traffik. Shurwayne entered the Square through the crowd in a princely fashion with artistically made doves hovering over him.
As soon as he made it to the stage, the crowd went wild with excitement singing and chanting to his many hits.
Also performing with Winchester were his band mates Sean Caruth and Candy Hoyte. They also sang a few of their hits and accompanied Winchester with other tunes.
The iconic band, Traffik, also played flawlessly, much to the pleasure of the audience who were treated to a quality performance.
The Soca in the Square series was quite a success luring thousands to participate in the midday session. Those who looked forward to the break in their work and school schedules would have to wait till net year for the Soca in the Square experience.
