CALYPSO Monarch Wins-ton “Cro Cro” Rawlins came on stage breathing fire on Saturday night at the Queen’s Park Savannah at Champs In Concert — a show which was sold out as early as 7.45 pm. Many people were turned away, according to Pan Trinbago officials. Fire officers also worked overtime keeping patrons from going into the stands.
Dressed in a flaming red suit and hat to match, the “Mighty Midget” lashed into his critics who said he sang an old song to win the Calypso Monarch title on Carnival Sunday night.
Cro Cro asked his audience if he could sing a verse of a new song before doing his title-winning rendition. The audience obliged. He said the song was called “I want an apology” in which he cast scorn on Gypsy, Sugar Aloes and Skatie.
